“Matt had given me a DNA trace kit for Christmas that traced my DNA on my mothers side back to West Africa (he’s a geneticist). He then sourced a champagne colored conflict free diamond from West Africa and presented that along with silver ore from Idaho (where he grew up) in a little box when he proposed. He then found a jeweler in Brooklyn who took those elements and made the engagement ring. The idea was to have a symbol that linked our beginnings to our present and into our future. He also presented what he called a ‘ghost ring’ in the engagement box, which was a champagne colored acrylic representation of a classic Tiffany set diamond ring from the artist by:AMT.” [Green Wedding Shoes]

I’ve never been one to plan my wedding or anything like that. But as I was watching the OC last night (Caleb and Julie’s wedding), this place just blew me away. It’s unreal. An outdoor wedding would be marvelous, but the fear of changing weather scares me. But rain or shine, this place would be gorgeous. Such a beautiful, beautiful place
Kind of like a covered greenhouse; it’d be beautiful and even if it rained, it wouldn’t be a problem, because you’re covered.
this is so incredibly beautiful, it makes me want to build a huge greenhouse that is a wedding venue in my hometown!
99% sure my aunt got married here. It was gorgeous :)
